Base pay range $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Community College of Rhode Island People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and DE&I To perform specialized testing and auditing of all digital products, applications, and content to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II requirements for public entities, specifically WCAG 2.1 Level AA; and to evaluate vendor compliance through the review and validation of Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs). Job Duties Performs comprehensive manual and automated accessibility testing on web applications, online learning platforms, student portals, and digital documents against WCAG 2.1 Level AA to ensure compliance. Assistive Technology Audits: Conducts in-depth auditing using specialized assistive technologies, including but not limited to JAWS, NVDA, TalkBack, and VoiceOver, to accurately identify and document barriers. VPAT/ACR Analysis: Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) by reviewing, interpreting, and validating vendor-provided vendor compliance documents (VPATs) to determine product compliance risk Creates and executes detailed test cases, test plans, and high-quality defect reports that clearly explain the accessibility issue, the relevant WCAG success criteria, and the user impact. Communicate test results to a wide range of audiences for learning opportunities in WCAG compliance Review and provide feedback on course documents submitted by faculty and staff for accessibility. Maintain documentation and tracking of faculty and staff requests and completed tasks. Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Practical knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA Employment involving specialized experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or digital accessibility testing, including direct responsibility for accessibility compliance, use of assistive technologies, and the review of vendor compliance documentation (VPATs) Ability to effectively utilize and interpret findings from multiple assistive technologies and automated testing tools.
