Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Goleta, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle a variety of responsibilities including processing transactions, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries. Responsibilities: - Efficiently process customer credit applications - Maintain accurate records of customer credit - Handle general ledger tasks and bank reconciliations - Actively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action - Participate in month-end close procedures - Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner - Opportunity to learn and handle reconciliations - Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge - Maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs - Conduct virtual team meetings as needed, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Requirements - Must hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. - Proven experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role. - Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. - Experience with bank reconciliations. - Ability to handle month-end close procedures. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong numerical proficiency and data entry skills. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Able to work independently and within a team. - Demonstrated problem-solving skills. - High level of integrity and trustworthiness. - Strong understanding of confidentiality for sensitive financial information. - Proactive learning mindset and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
