Adolescent Medicine Specialist

Greenville, SC

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a full time BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team. Prisma Health Adolescent Medicine is dedicated to the comprehensive care of adolescents and young adults (AYA) 10-25yo. Being the only free-standing AYA practice in South Carolina, >2000 patients receive care at our division for a vast array of concerns, including:

• Eating Disorders
• LGBTQIA+ Care (including comprehensive transgender medical care)
• AYA Mental Health (including psychopharmacologic management)
• Acne Management (including Accutane)
• Menstrual Health
• Reproductive Health
• Sexual Health
• HIV, PrEP, and PEP care
• Inpatient Consultation

Ideal Candidate will:

• Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion with experience fostering an inclusive environment, engaging in ongoing professional development, and working as part of a learning community with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, educational background, languages spoken, socioeconomic status, and geography, among others. 
• Be board eligible or board certified in Adolescent Medicine
• Have experience and interest in management of eating disorders across the spectrum of disease, in addition to the clinical care noted above
• Be interested in medical/resident/fellow trainee education
• Show compassion, integrity, and empathy in the care of medically and socially complex AYA
• Be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a diversity of backgrounds

• Academic appointment at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville commensurate with experience
• No Weekend In-House Call obligations
