Soliant isseeking two highly qualified Educational Interpreters to support two deaf/hard of hearing studentsone in a preschool setting and one in an elementary setting. These full-time roles are essential in promoting munication access, language development, and inclusive learning experiences for deaf and hard of hearing students in mainstream classrooms.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the generalization and reinforcement of vocabulary within instructional contexts

• Provide interpreting services to ensure effective munication between the student, staff, and peers

• Collaborate with general education staff to implement techniques remended by the Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)

• Offer in-class support as needed for understanding and engagement

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding munication access and student progress

• Act as a tutor as outlined in the students Individualized Education Program (IEP)

• Prepare progress reports and other documentation as required

Qualifications:

• Required Certification:

• RID Certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)

• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher

• Strong receptive and expressive American Sign Language (ASL) skills

• Experience working with young children in educational settings preferred

• Knowledge of Deaf culture and child development

  Schedule and Location:

• Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar

• Work will be based on-sitein Virginia, MN
