The Assistant Bookkeeper works in monthly services and reports to the Team Lead. This position works closely with the Bookkeeping Team and is accountable for accurate financial processing and timely task completion. We need a team player who is passionate, has high energy, is results-oriented and a good problem solver. Searching for a candidate with the ability to work a minimum of three days a week (Monday - Friday) from 8am - 4:30pm CST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports Team Manager & Bookkeepers with any assigned tasks
- Organize and prepare accounts payable and receivable for processing
- Responsible for data entry within QuickBooks Online and 3rd party construction software
- Collaborates with members on the team
- Adheres to monthly financial schedules and consistently meets deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work on several clients simultaneously
- Attends team meetings
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (or equivalent Google Docs and Google Sheets)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with technology and the ability to work in multiple software/apps
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to handle unfamiliar tasks
- Able to contribute to other work efforts on client tasks as needed
- Ability to self-motivate and take on a challenge with a positive attitude
- Ability to follow established company policies and procedures
- Proficient and certified in QuickBooks Online preferred
- Bookkeeping experience and/or certification preferred
