ALG's corporate and securities practice represents small to medium high growth companies to ensure compliance with state and federal securities regulations and facilitate acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Additionally, their land use division represents developers and individuals in obtaining permit approvals and adopting proactive compliance strategies. The litigation practice centers on supporting our land use and corporate clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney located in San Diego, CA. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks supporrting all three practice areas as needed. Primarily, the initial focus will be in the litigation practice area performing tasks such as drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing motions, and conducting depositions.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience as a licensed attorney. Will consider newly barred with intern experience.
  • Litigation experience that includes skills involving drafting motions and discovery.
  • In depth understanding of California Corporations Code.
  • Strong knowledge of California Civil Procedures and legal precedents and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • Prior experience working as a litigation attorney is a must
  • Experience in cannabis and land use law would be beneficial, but not required
