Automotive Electrician/Mechanic - Part-time / Full-time (Flexible Hours)

Fab-Tex, a busy medium/ heavy duty truck shop located in western Suffolk, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire an Automotive Electrician who is willing to grow with our company.

Responsibilities:

• Install body lights, strobe lights, work lights, rewire brakes, tail, trailer lights, etc. on new and refurbished trucks.
• Create and install wiring harnesses specific to end-users needs by following the documentation provided.
• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and perform necessary repairs with correct parts.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 (TWO) years of experience

• Automotive electrics: 2 years (preferred)

• The electrician must provide own tools necessary to perform required tasks.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.
• Current and valid drivers license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).
• Must have great communication skills within a team environment.
• Can work in a face-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• The employee is required to stand, walk, grasp tools, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit for an extended time period, lift/ move up to 25 lbs, and have good vision.
• Working conditions: Large facility, overhead cranes

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time

Pay: $27.00-40.00 per hour - Based on Experience

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Flexible Hours
• Full-Time Day Shifts: Mon- Fri 7am- 5:30pm
• Part-Time: 3 - 5 Days - Flexible hours (Day or Night)
• Shifts Available: Mon-Fri 7AM-5:30pm / Mon-Fri 8-1:00pm / Mon-Fri 4:30-7:30pm

**ALL SHIFTS ARE FLEXIBLE**

• Overtime average 10 hours per week

Work location: one location
