Solutions Architect – Oracle Focus

100% Remote - Cleveland, OH

6-month Contract to Hire

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Fortune 500 Retail and Manufacturing Client is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams in designing and implementing comprehensive system and product architectures. This role will focus on integrating solutions with the organization’s overall IT infrastructure to support key business objectives.

You will evaluate program and project challenges, create conceptual and logical architectural designs, and guide technical teams in their implementation. Success in this role requires a strong ability to resolve system design weaknesses and ensure the maintainability and performance of hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will align solution architectures with enterprise strategies and business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert guidance in designing and implementing complex, integrated frameworks, tech stacks, systems, and platforms that support business and IT strategies.
• Lead and oversee application development and integrations to ensure alignment with performance goals, enterprise architecture, and business objectives.
• Develop and promote standards for hardware/software compatibility, system interfaces, and business application prototypes.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive architectural innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, enterprise architects, and product managers.
• Drive the development of architectural frameworks, patterns, and standards across systems and products.
• Offer technical expertise in evaluating and selecting new technical initiatives and resolving complex technology challenges.
• Ensure alignment of new solutions with existing architectural frameworks and organizational standards.
• Champion leading-edge design and architectural practices among extended teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure solution designs align with enterprise principles, standards, and frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education -

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 10+ years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred:

• Expert-level architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP).
• Additional certifications as defined by the hiring manager.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Knowledge & Experience -

• 8+ years in IT or as a Solution Architect.
• Proven track record designing complex hardware/software solutions for enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across departments.
• In-depth knowledge of modern architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices.
• Expertise in cloud computing, data center operations, network design, and security.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Technical Expertise -

• Cloud Technologies & Platforms
• Web Services & APIs, including Microservices and SOA
• Data Analysis, Warehousing, and ETL Processes
• Architecture Governance & Standards
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Emerging Technologies & Automation Tools
• Testing & QA Methodologies and Tools
• Business Strategy & Change Management
• Strong data modeling skills, including Oracle Cloud and Snowflake experience
• Knowledge of star schemas and dimensional design concepts
• Experience with modern BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAP Business Objects)
• Exposure to ERP systems and Oracle Fusion Cloud data
• Programming language proficiency and experience with prompt engineering
