Job Details Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Responsibilities Support database administration tasks for computerized databases Assist in installing databases onto appropriate computer operating systems Help create databases and configure them for data warehousing applications Support the creation of database objects including Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, and Views Assist with management of Rollback Segments and Data File Size Write basic code for update queries Update data dictionaries as new fields are added to databases Maintain data correction logs with proper documentation Support database performance monitoring activities Assist with backup and recovery operations Document database procedures and configurations Work under general supervision to support database operations Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 0 to 5 years of experience in database administration Basic knowledge of database concepts and procedures Understanding of SQL fundamentals Knowledge of database backup and recovery principles Desired: Experience with DoD/Navy systems Entry-level database certifications Knowledge of database performance basics Understanding of data security principles Basic scripting abilities Familiarity with database documentation practices Experience with database monitoring tools Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is $53,100-$106,300.
