Job Description

Job Title: Dental Assistant

Location: Webster, TX

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional dental team! In this role, you'll support our Endodontist during exams and procedures while also handling essential administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed
  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
  • Assist the Endodontist chairside during procedures and exams
  • Educate patients about their treatment plan and post-procedure care
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health regulations
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records
  • Answer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Dental Assistant program (CODA certified)
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for patient care
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday

About Us

As a licensed Endodontist in Webster/Clear Lake, TX we work together with our referring doctors and patients. Our practice is devoted to providing our patients with quality, state of the art Endodontic care using the latest techniques available (digital radiology, surgical microscopes, ultrasonic) in a friendly and comfortable office environment.

We take time with our patients to explain their treatment options and inform them of additional preventative care.

About Dr. Qamar

Dr. Sam Qamar grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from The High School for Health Professions.

Dr. Qamar received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1998.

After graduation, he completed an internship/research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Endodontic Department.

To gain more expertise, Dr. Qamar successfully finished a one year General Practice Residency Program at the Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Subsequently, Dr. Qamar received his specialty training in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. During the two year residency program, he was honored with an "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Department of Endodontics at the U.S.C. for his contribution to dental education.

Dr. Qamar exclusively utilizes an operating microscope during treatment with all of his patients. This allows him to treat complex cases that may otherwise be nonrestorable

Dr. Qamar is an active member of organized dentistry, including the American Association of Endodontist, the American Dental Association, the Houston Academy of Endodontist, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the Ninth District Dental Society. Throughout his education, and currently, Dr. Qamar stays involved in various volunteer activities.
