Full-Time | Leadership Role | 24-Bed Freestanding Facility

Envoy Recruitment is seeking an experienced Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation to oversee operations of a newly opened 24-bed freestanding inpatient rehab facility offering Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services.
This role has full operational accountability, including staff leadership, budget management, clinical quality, and program development. The Director will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and community partners to ensure exceptional, patient-centered rehabilitation care while meeting all state, federal, and professional standards.
Lead daily operations of the inpatient rehabilitation facility, including staffing, patient care processes, and performance management
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets
Hire, train, evaluate, and manage rehabilitation staff across PT, OT, and Speech Therapy
Implement and update policies, procedures, and workflows; ensure staff accountability
Build partnerships with marketing, community outreach, and educational institutions to promote services and awareness
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, reimbursement, and documentation requirements
Oversee clinical documentation, coding accuracy, charge capture, and care order follow-through
Collaborate with senior leadership (CNO, COO) to meet program goals and optimize service delivery
Education
Required: Current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited therapy program
Preferred: Masters or Doctorate degree in a professional or management field
Experience
Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation experience, including at least 2 years in a management role
Proven track record in healthcare program development and operational leadership
Licensure & Certifications
Maintain active licensure as required by state law
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days if not current)
