Description Role Summary: As a Tactical Communications Specialist at BJU Press, the ideal candidate will support the Educational Technology Development team by coordinating with Ed Tech management, assisting writing teams' Ed Tech specialists, and developing clear departmental communications. This role ensures the consistent provision of educational technology content to relevant BJU Press products. The team supports BJU Press's mission by integrating technology into content development and providing digital content via user-friendly platforms. Role Summary: As a Tactical Communications Specialist, you will coordinate with Ed Tech management and writing teams, communicate with departments and customers about content updates, contribute to projects, and publish content within the team and department. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with content departments to ensure educational content meets Ed Tech specifications. Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met. Support and guide team members through challenges. Train team members for task effectiveness. Identify and implement process improvements. Maintain knowledge of educational technologies and apply it to team goals. Publish a monthly Ed Tech newsletter for Educational Content and leadership. Contribute to additional departmental projects as needed. Skills and Attributes: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and managers. Working knowledge of educational technology. Understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot educational technology issues. Self-motivated with a focus on process improvement. Strong time management and organizational skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of relevant experience. Teaching experience in a K-12 school. Broad knowledge of educational technology.
