Job Summary Fleet Maintenance Manager at FreshPoint, Inc. This Operations role leads the fleet maintenance department, managing the shop, personnel, parts procurement, inventory, asset tracking, and cost control. Key focus areas include safety, security, productivity, and compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects. Manage the daily work and safety of associates engaged in fleet maintenance and repair. Create, maintain, and prioritize work orders; schedule work in accordance with departmental needs. Control labor hours and consumable supplies within budget. Monitor work schedules including overtime and shift requirements. Hire, review, coach, and develop the fleet maintenance team. Ensure adherence to policy and safety requirements; issue discipline when necessary. Obtain price quotes for parts and supplies for fleet and power equipment. Review fleet maintenance functions, operational and expense reporting. Suggest efficiency ideas and cost‑reduction measures; assist in implementing changes. Audit vendor and service provider invoices and billing. Support safety initiatives by identifying and resolving safety issues. Perform equipment repairs within applicable service levels. Conduct daily audits of documentation (work orders, preventive maintenance logs, inspections, certifications). Assist with third‑party audit preparation to achieve successful audit scores. Qualifications Education – High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Experience – Minimum 3 years of fleet management and 3 years of supervisory experience. Skills – Understanding of building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, and welding. Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Decision Making Authority Fully independent decisions: Prioritizing, executing, and following up on work orders. Decisions requiring review/approval: Purchase of services/equipment.
