SUMMARY Under direct supervision and in support of Warrens culture, all employees are expected to consistently, effectively and reliably perform in accordance with the Companys values. The Fleet Manager is responsible for balancing the needs of fleet safety, drivers and maximizing production, by being held accountable for all aspects of service once dispatched on a load. To ensure high quality and profitable operation of the division by coordination the personnel, performance, training and service needs of an assigned group of drivers. To motivate and retain drivers in accordance with company and departmental quality, utilization and profit objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Coach and manage a fleet of drivers to ensure safe operations, on-time delivery, and fleet profitability. Build strong relationships with drivers to improve performance, promote retention, and reduce turnover. Monitor and take accountability for key performance metrics, including on-time pickup/delivery, out-of-service rates, mileage, revenue per truck, and turnover. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (drivers, planners, vendors) via phone, email, and messaging to manage load execution and service delivery. Dispatch complete and accurate load information, communicating customer expectations clearly to drivers. Manage driver compliance with DOT regulations, log hours, permits, and safety requirements, resolving issues proactively. Advocate for drivers needs internally, collaborating with planners and customer service to resolve load, schedule, and service issues. Understand proper cargo securement methods and materials. Demonstrate a strong commitment to Warrens Safety First Culture and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Continuously assess and recommend improvements, ensuring service goals like CPM, Net Settlement, and RWT are met or exceeded. Handle additional responsibilities as assigned, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic environment. Provide flexible, high-level support across multiple departments or teams, stepping in to cover absences, high workload periods, or transitional leadership needs. Adapt quickly to different fleet structures, team dynamics, and operational strategies to maintain consistency in service, safety, and performance. Assume full operational responsibility during coverage periods, including driver management, load execution, and customer service coordination. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Four year college degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to negotiate effectively and able to build rapport quickly Motivated to achieve both company and personal goals. Proficient computer and internet skills (Microsoft Office products, Word and Excel). Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to Warren corporate values and the success of all staff.
