Position: HVAC Technician

Type: Permanent

Location: Sarasota, FL

Salary Range: $25-40/hour (depending on experience) + PTO, health benefits and 401K.

Must be available to work nights and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.

Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. Your ability to troubleshoot issues, deliver high-quality work, and provide excellent customer service will be essential to ensuring client satisfaction and system reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including heating and cooling units, in homes and commercial properties.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs.
• Educate customers on system operation, energy efficiency practices, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow, share knowledge, and deliver a superior service experience.
• Clearly explain repair or replacement options to customers, helping them make informed decisions that meet their comfort and budget needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); HVAC certification or relevant technical degree preferred.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems and components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or elevated spaces.
