Job Title: Sr. Instabase Intelligent Automation Engineer

Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. Instabase Intelligent Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in intelligent document processing, full-stack development, and cloud-native technologies. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and support automation solutions powered by the Instabase platform, helping enterprise clients optimize complex document workflows at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and support of document automation solutions using the Instabase platform.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Engineering, and Support teams to deliver robust, user-centric features.
• Participate in incident resolution, post-mortems, and escalations following best practices in platform support.
• Develop and maintain scalable front-end interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Webpack, HTML/CSS.
• Build backend services using Python, Node.js, Go, or Java, with strong API design and integration capabilities.
• Drive high standards in software engineering, user experience, and technical documentation.
• Work across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot and replicate complex issues with precision and customer empathy.
• Provide guidance on leveraging open-source tools compatible with Instabase (e.g., spaCy, pandas, scikit-learn).

Required Experience & Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Instabase in production environments.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
• Expertise in front-end technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Webpack, HTML, CSS, REST APIs.
• Proficiency with backend frameworks in Python, Go, Node.js, or Java.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and frontend architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to set engineering standards and mentor junior developers.

Mandatory Platform & Tooling Experience:

• Automation / RPA / IDP Tools (any mix of the following highly preferred):
• RPA: UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate, SAP IRPA
• IDP: ABBYY FlexiCapture, ABBYY Vantage, UiPath Document Understanding, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Blue Prism Decipher
• Process Mining: Celonis
• Low-Code: Xceptor
• Conversational AI: Kore.AI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large enterprise automation initiatives.
• Strong background in scalable microservices and API-based architecture.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and DevOps pipelines.
