Job Description

We are seeking a Computer-Based Training (CBT) Specialist to develop dynamic and mission-relevant eLearning content in support of Department of Defense (DoD) training initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced eLearning professional or defense contractor with a passion for instructional design, multimedia integration, and delivering high-impact training solutions. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, project leads, and technical teams to create engaging, compliant, and learner-focused courseware that aligns with DoD standards and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update computer-based training (CBT) modules tailored for DoD and federal clients
  • Integrate multimedia elements—text, audio, video, graphics, and 3D animation—into cohesive training experiences
  • Apply instructional design methodologies, programming logic, and learner feedback mechanisms to enhance effectiveness
  • Develop detailed storyboards and supporting visuals aligned with stakeholder goals and learning objectives
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality control throughout all phases of development
  • Manage development timelines, maintain organized project files, and track deliverables to meet critical deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience designing and developing eLearning content (substitution of experience for degree considered)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Captivate
  • Experience with storyboarding, visual communication, and presentation development
  • Strong PC skills and familiarity with current content development tools and software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD contracts or military training programs
  • Understanding of MIL-STD specifications and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple development cycles simultaneously

Travel:

No regular travel is expected for this position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
