Pierschbacher Funeral Home is a family-owned and community-focused funeral practice serving Chariton, Knoxville and surrounding areas with compassion and professionalism. We offer full‑service options including traditional and full burials, cremation, webcasting/tribute videos, and veteran services, tailored to each family’s needs.
*Responsibilities*
* Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including planning, logistics, and execution.
* Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance through the grieving process.
* Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary cosmetic procedures and sanitation.
* Conduct sales consultations with families to discuss service options and merchandise.
* Manage event planning for memorial services, ensuring all details are handled with care.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
* Collaborate with other professionals in the field, including medical examiners and cemetery staff.
* Perform heavy lifting as necessary when handling caskets and other equipment.
* Stay informed about physiology knowledge relevant to the preparation of the deceased.
*Requirements*
* Valid Funeral Director license or certification as required by state regulations.
* Strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
* Knowledge of event planning principles to create meaningful memorial services.
* Ability to dissect complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
* Familiarity with bereavement support practices to assist grieving families effectively.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with funeral services.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
