Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Andover, MA

Pay Range: $32-35/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various production equipment and machinery
• Rebuild and replace motors and pumps, ensuring optimal operation
• Work with low, medium, and high-pressure steam systems to support manufacturing processes
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for equipment fabrication and repair
• Collaborate with departments to improve equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic/machinist in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
