Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team. This role will play a critical part in supporting building operations and ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong hands-on skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance and operation of buildings to ensure a clean, safe, secure, and functional environment
  • Perform basic building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical work, and HVAC
  • Clean, repair, and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage and functionality
  • Move office furniture, equipment, and supplies between and within buildings
  • Monitor and document building issues, reporting safety and operational concerns to supervisors
  • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety gear according to company protocols
  • Coordinate and monitor work conducted by external vendors and building superintendent
  • Complete and return work orders; maintain detailed documentation and follow-ups
  • Prioritize service calls/tickets with internal teams and respond promptly to issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and other routine building services
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure facilities updates and needs are addressed
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders professionally, even in high-pressure situations
  • Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and adhere to all company policies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in building maintenance, repair, or construction (education/trade certification may substitute for 2 years of experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with facility systems or CMMS is a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies
  • Capability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Dexterity to use tools requiring grasping, lifting, and fine motor skills
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk significant distances
  • Lift and move objects up to 100 pounds

The pay range for this position is: $28.00 - $32.00/hour
