Position Summary: As a Transportation Manager, you will co-direct all functions of the Transportation Department; including creating and managing the annual business plans. You will manage drivers, routes, deliveries, equipment, maintenance, security and safety, and other transportation-related actions to create direct contributions to the division and to customers' experiences. A successful candidate will have effectively demonstrated an ability to continuously build better service, demonstrate leadership, and instill a culture of innovation.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 2 years of higher education. Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance with a clean MVR driving record. 5+ years of transportation supervisory/management experience. In-depth knowledge and understanding of transportation (DOT) safety regulations and experience with operations of fleet management systems. 1+ years of demonstrated experience in budget creation and management. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as; Excel and Microsoft Word.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred. Supervisory experience leading minimum of 10 drivers. 4+ years transportation experience within foodservice industry. Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.
