About This Position We are eager to find an enthusiastic Natural Gas Project Developer to spearhead the development of natural gas and renewable gas power projects. This pivotal role will focus on ensuring the viability and success of our renewable projects by integrating gas assets into our energy strategy, collaborating actively with various stakeholders. Overview of Department As part of our Development team, you will report to the Vice President, East Development. Your role will be crucial in supporting the reliability of our clean energy projects and developing necessary gas infrastructure, including interconnections and supply agreements. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of gas infrastructure projects, including site identification, permitting, and interconnection. Assess and implement firming solutions utilizing natural gas, RNG, or hydrogen for renewable projects. Negotiate contracts for gas supply agreements and pipeline interconnections. Secure necessary air permits and real estate rights. Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments relevant to natural gas and clean fuels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess commercial and technical feasibility. Build relationships with local utilities, regulators, and industry partners. Support greenfield development for clean power projects involving gas infrastructure. Manage projects effectively by developing models, budgets, and schedules. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in gas power plant development or related fields. Strong knowledge of U.S. natural gas markets and pipeline permitting processes. Familiarity with renewable energy projects, especially hybrid assets. Excellent project management and collaboration skills. Working Conditions This position primarily involves sedentary work using standard office equipment. Regular travel (4x per year) is required for company meetups across the U.S. and Canada. Salary & Benefits Competitive Salary: $165,000 - $175,000 or CAD $237,000 - $251,000 with an annual bonus target of 35-50%.
