Nurse - RN or LPN - Long Term Care - Part Time

The Adrian Dominican Sisters are accepting applications for part time and full time 2nd and 3rd shift Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Check us out at

Hours: 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11pm or 3rd shift: 10:30pm - 7am

***Every other weekend off and only work 4-5 scheduled holidays a year. Overtime available. Very little mandating. You will be scheduled 5-8 days in a two week pay period.

Pay: Licensed Practical Nurses start at 28.07 and Registered Nurses start at 32.93 plus an additional 1.50/hr. shift differential , time and a half after 8 hours.

Who we are : We are a team of caregivers and support staff who provide an enriching and compassionate environment to the Adrian Dominican Sisters in their home at the Dominican Life Center, our nursing/retirement home environment on the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse campus. The Dominican Life Center , our continuum of care facility, has 180 beds in private rooms and we provide long term care to Sisters who are in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities. We employ over 300 people who take great pride and joy in working for and with the Sisters to provide them with exceptional care in a spiritual environment. We are not a state-regulated nursing facility , but our standard of care is above and beyond that and we can maintain your RN or LPN licensing and certifications .

What you need : Graduation from a state approved school of nursing. Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan, Licensed Practical Nurse must be qualified to pass medication . Interest in geriatric nursing or Long Term Care . Previous experience in geriatric nursing, long term care or nursing home environment helpful but not required.

Physical REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to walk 8 hours and to perform bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder level and lifting up to 46 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.
• Must be in generally good health to provide immunity to common communicable organisms.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be flexible with schedule and work every other weekend and be available for mandation when necessary.
• Must undergo background check and drug screen. Mandatory yearly (employer paid) flu vaccine and TB test.
