Job Title: Shipping Technician

Job Description

As a Shipping Technician, you will be responsible for picking and packing supplement products, handling up to 300 packages per day. This role requires standing throughout the entire shift and involves lifting or pushing packages up to 50 pounds. You will be assigned to a station equipped with a computer for managing tasks and will need to read and write emails using Microsoft Outlook. This position is located in an FDA-approved facility, maintaining a clean room atmosphere. Accuracy is of utmost importance, although speed is also valued. The role does not involve operating forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack supplement and vitamin orders in a warehouse setting.

• Manage and operate a computer to confirm orders and create shipping labels.

• Lift and push packages up to 50 pounds.

• Empty two small carts per hour efficiently until familiar with the role.

• Maintain high attendance levels in a small team environment.

• Ensure accuracy in order processing and label creation.

• Scan and verify packages for FedEx and USPS shipping.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in picking or packing roles.

• Proficiency with computer systems for order management.

• Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds.

• High attention to detail for ensuring accuracy.

• Basic math and computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with GMPs and SOPs.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Experience with ERP systems and software.

• Knowledge of warehouse operations and shipping processes.

The facility is strictly a warehouse where shipping technicians, acting as pickers and packers, perform their duties. The position follows established procedures and operates under Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
