PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Personal Shopper will be responsible for selecting and gathering products for customer’s on-line orders in the most efficient manner. Providing customers with a positive experience and exceptional service.

NATURE AND SCOPE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Emphasis in this position is following procedures in all transactions, selecting products and completing on-line shopping orders accurately and timely. This position requires attention to detail, computer skills, reading, standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, exposure to outside conditions and wet surfaces. It also requires ongoing social skills, verbal interaction, judgment/decision making, and the ability to work as a team, independently, listening skills and initiative. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Daily assignments and work direction is provided by the E-commerce Manager or person in charge.

• Process customer’s on-line orders in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of the store and where items are located
  • Shop for each order accurately and follow any special requests if applicable
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping paying attention to freshness and quality when selecting produce, meat, and other fresh products
  • Ensuring accuracy by selecting items according to quantity, size, etc.
  • Contact customer if an item needs to be substituted and offer alternative suggestions
  • Packing orders logically – frozen with frozen, hot food with hot food, delicate items towards the top
  • Check out each item and label each bag with the customer’s information
  • Maintain confidentiality in protecting the customer’s information while completing the transaction
  • Upon gathering orders, ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout the entire process
  • Place order in holding area for pick up; place in storage at proper temperature
  • Upon customer arrival, verify that you are delivering to the correct customer
  • Confirm identification for orders containing alcohol or medicine
  • Locate orders in storage area and deliver to customer’s vehicle and lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicle in proper manner
  • React to customer needs in a positive and professional way
  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by demonstrating patience and respect in all customer interactions and thanking customers for their business
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist in other departments of the store as needed or other duties as required
• Miscellaneous
  • Work closely with the E-commerce Manager in determining the nature and scope of projects and requirements for completion
  • Comply with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations
• Follow all store policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a minimum age of 18 years old
• Ability to type on a keyboard and operate computers and Smart handheld devices efficiently
• Ability to work independently
