Manager, Physician Coding Quality
Location: Remote (Florida residents only)
Department: Coding | Schedule: Full-time | FLSA: Exempt
Pay Range: $31.15 $42.04 / hour (Minimum to Midpoint)

As the Manager of Physician Coding Quality , youll lead a team dedicated to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in physician and outpatient coding across our respected, not-for-profit health system. This fully remote roleavailable to Florida residentsoffers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
In this leadership position, youll oversee daily operations of the outpatient coding department, manage staff performance, and maintain the highest standards for coding quality and productivity. Youll collaborate closely with the Coding Education team, Compliance, Physician Leadership, and Billing to align goals, share insights, and drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Supervise coding staff, ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS code assignment for outpatient and professional services
Monitor performance and quality through audits, data review, and feedback
Stay current on CMS, OIG, and HIPAA regulations to maintain compliance
Develop and deliver ongoing training and professional development
Manage hiring, onboarding, and engagement of coding team members
Update policies and procedures to reflect industry best practices
Partner across departments to support documentation and workflow initiatives
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Business or related field required
Minimum 3 years of physician outpatient coding experience
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
Project management and coding quality/data experience preferred
Active AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required
Experience with Epic , Solventum , or similar EMR/coding software
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
