CITY OF LAFAYETTE, ALABAMA POSITION OPEN

GRADE III WASTEWATER MILLCREEK

PLANT OPERATORThe City of LaFayette is accepting applications for a full-time Grade III Wastewater Plant Operator. The City of LaFayette operates a Grade III, 1.0 MGD Wastewater Plant.
The Successful candidate will need to possess a high school diploma or GED and an Alabama Grade III Wastewater Operator Certificate. The successful applicant is expected to maintain plant records, collect samples, lab operations, tests and monitor conditions throughout the plant in accordance with EPA and ADEM standards; conduct plant maintenance and inspection tours of wastewater plant and report any malfunctions. The position also requires lifting, shoveling and climbing ladders/stairs.
Applicants should be willing to work on weekends and holidays when assigned.
The person selected will need to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check, and shall have a valid driver's license.
