About the Company:

WaterWalk is a dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality organization with a portfolio of hotels across various states, each offering unique guest experiences. WaterWalk brings an innovative approach to the extended stay hotel segment, offering both traditional extended stay suites as well as unfurnished suite options for longer stay lengths. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to join our team as the Director of Sales.

About the Role:

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading the hotel's sales efforts, with a specific focus on extended stay business. This position requires a strategic and experienced sales professional with a proven track record in securing long-term stay clients. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our hotel with a specific emphasis on prospecting for new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive extended stay sales strategy.
  • Create SMART action plans for target & top accounts to increase market share and monthly targets.
  • Identify target markets and develop plans to penetrate and capture new business opportunities.

Extended Stay Market Focus:

  • Leverage expertise in extended stay hotel sales to identify and secure long-term stay business.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, relocation companies, and other potential extended stay clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits and presentations to showcase the benefits of our extended stay offerings.

Revenue Optimization:

  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing strategies.

Prospecting for New Business:

  • Identify and engage with potential clients to expand the hotel's client base.

Market Analysis:

  • Maintain deep understanding of competitors strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to best understand how to shift share.
  • Stay informed about market trends, and industry developments.
  • Utilize data and market insights to adapt and refine sales strategies.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends for senior leadership.
  • Capture & organize weekly sales activities within a sales CRM to capture status of accounts, activities an production.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Sales within the extended stay hotel segment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with hotel sales and customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to create and manage action plans to drive performance improvement.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
