Our dynamic tax team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced tax professional to join our Chicago office. As part of a global organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues worldwide and across various functions. This role suits someone with a strong work ethic, team spirit, and a passion for thriving in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

This position is based in Chicago with a requirement to work in the office periodically.

What Youll Do:

1. Serve as the primary tax advisor for Venture Capital and Wireless Infrastructure business units, providing tax insights and guidance.
2. Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate tax perspectives into key business decisions, ensuring strategic alignment.
3. Monitor and analyze developments in tax laws, assess their impact, and advise on compliance and opportunities.
4. Manage and review the preparation of tax workpapers and returns, ensuring accuracy. Coordinate with internal teams and external providers for filings.
5. Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate reporting of tax provisions and related items.
6. Support the Head of Tax by mentoring team members and fostering a high-performing team.
7. Address transfer pricing matters, including documentation and compliance with global standards.
8. Identify and implement technology-driven improvements to enhance tax processes and reduce risks.
9. Perform additional duties as needed.

Skills You'll Need:

• At least ten years of tax experience, preferably in:
• Financial Services (venture capital, private equity, trading firms)
• Technology or Telecommunications with global infrastructure
• BS/BA in Accounting preferred
• CPA and/or MST preferred
• Experience researching tax issues and communicating findings
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues
• Good judgment, resilience, flexibility, and conscientiousness
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and curiosity
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• High ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
• Reliable and predictable availability

Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 $200,000 USD
