Description


Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer to collaborate with a Government customer to migrate operational mission capabilities from on-premises hardware to AWS Cloud compute infrastructure. The candidate must have demonstrable experience assisting in the implementation and support of large-scale cloud systems and services on AWS, from application rehosting to Cloud Native re-architecting. Core technologies and experience include microservices, containers, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps practices. AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred but not required for an experienced candidate.

 

Requirements


Security Clearance:



  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

  • Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills:



  • Experience with the USAIC AWS Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure

  • Ability to collaboration with multiple stakeholders on the planning, architecture, design, and implementation of AWS well-architected solutions

  • Collaborated with external stakeholders on System Security Plans (SSP), accreditation, and cot optimization

  • Knowledge and experience with AWS managed services, Cloud frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, GitLab)

  • Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
