Full-Stack Java Developer

Position Summary:

Devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers, business processes and technical requirements. Performs Engineering Tasks in a diverse technology environment including: designs, codes, configures, tests, implements, and supports quality software solutions, systems architecture, application security and application infrastructure. Continuously improves and develops internal software and configures packaged applications by assessing business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities.

What you would do in this job:

• Develop and support high quality systems to support the Affinity Solutions market. This requires collaboration with business partners, external clients, other Enterprise Technology teams
• Develop and maintain Affinity Solutions business knowledge
• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration and implementation activities for new development and enhancements
• Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs

Preferred candidate will have:

• Experience with Java web and Spring framework, REST services and SQL Server
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

• 5-12 years Experience with Java Full-stack development
• Experience developing with Java and Spring frameworks (Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience using tools for code migration and deployment (GitHub), continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and agile development processes.
• Continuously and proactively improves skills and knowledge through internal and external learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RESTful web services (Kong experience, nice to have)
• AWS experience, e.g. Kubernetes, Secrets Manager, etc.
• JSF (JavaServer Faces) + PrimeFaces
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with Hibernate, Gradle, GitHub
• * Insurance & Financial Billing/Accounting background
