Job Title: Staff-Level Geotechnical Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an entry to mid-level professional with a passion for delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a desire to grow professionally in a collaborative environment.
You will be responsible for both field and office-based work, including site observation, sample collection, and subcontractor oversight. With guidance and support from senior engineers and project managers, you will also have opportunities to assist with project cost estimates, proposal development, technical reports, and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform field work such as site observations, soil/rock sampling, and construction monitoring.
Oversee subcontractors during field operations to ensure quality and safety compliance.
Document and communicate field findings through clear and accurate reports.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects meet technical, budgetary, and timeline expectations.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
0-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in the local area.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record per company policy.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and varied weather conditions.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Company vehicles (pickup trucks) and fuel reimbursement or gas card are provided.
