Job Description

Russell Tobin is seeking a Statistician for a medical device manufacturer operating in various areas, including medical-surgical solutions, dental solutions, health information systems, and purification and filtration.

Job Title: Statistician

Location: Brookings, SD (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 10-Months

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $38.00 - $44.25 per hour

Overview:

• Worker to assume leadership of Quality Department projects and supports statistical needs of Medical Surgical business.
• Worker reports to business Statistician.
• Duties and responsibilities include Identifying, planning, recommending and completing technical projects, supporting all business activities in experimental design and data analysis.
• May need to present, prepare reports, and conduct training.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sampling plans, design of experiments, ANOVA, t-tests and other statistical support for teams upon request
• Participate in meetings where data is presented and provide critical analysis of the data and feedback to the team on the meaning of data results and coach on appropriate data analysis
• Prepare and present statistical training as requested by MedSurg Statistician
• Support Quality Master Data clean up in preparation for SAP launch
• Conduct user acceptance testing as needed to support SAP launch
• Complete project work as needed to support MedSurg Quality Operations

Your Skills and Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Math or Statistics
• Minitab expertise
• 10 years or more experience in Quality, Engineering or Statistics
• Statistical expertise in design of experiments, sampling plans, test method validation, process validation, ANOVA, t-tests, control charts and similar
• MInitab expertise
• Basic project management skills (PM certification not expected or required)
• Prior experience in health care manufacturing preferred
• Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group.
