Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a closed-door long-term care pharmacy setting. This role focuses on preparing sterile intravenous (IV) medications, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and internal quality protocols. The successful candidate will collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of medications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile IV medications using aseptic compounding techniques.
• Label and package IV medications accurately.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support medication delivery.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in filling and compounding medications.
• Knowledge of pharmacy sterilization processes.
• Registration with the state of MN as a pharmacy technician.
• Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
• A minimum of 6 months of IV or compounding experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
