Job Description
Apex Structural Design, LLC is a structural and forensic engineering firm that specializes in the structural design of buildings and building components. Apex also provides forensic engineering services related to building damage assessment and litigation.
Apex clients consist of architects, commercial contractors, residential contractors, fabricators, insurance companies, attorneys and owners.
Apex is looking for an energetic, quick thinking, hardworking engineer. Apex is looking for a PE with experience in designing building structures and building components. Experience and knowledge with REVIT and analysis software is essential.
Primary responsibilities include computer drafting, structural design, shop drawing review and field observation. Proficient use of Revit Structural is required. You will work closely with other Apex design engineers and clients in producing construction documents for new building construction. Field observation of new and existing buildings, climbing ladders and walking on sloped roofs is also part of the work description. Previous experience or knowledge in the construction industry is beneficial.
Some same day travel may be required for site observations and inspections. The applicant must have a valid drivers license and dependable vehicle for travel. Mileage reimbursement is provided for use of personal vehicles.
Work shall be performed in our office centrally located in Sioux Falls, SD. Work hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am - Noon.
A competitive salary based on experience is offered plus 401k retirement plan, paid vacation, paid holidays, and disability insurance. The position is available immediately.
