Surgery Scheduler – Day Shift

📍 Location: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center | 2020 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 400, Santa Monica, CA 90404

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5x8-Hour Day Shifts

📅 Start Date: November 10, 2025

💼 Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks | Contract (3 openings)

💵 Hourly Pay Range: $21 – $24/hr (based on experience)

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking experienced Surgery Schedulers to join its Surgery Scheduling Department in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will coordinate surgical procedures and ensure seamless communication among patients, physicians, and internal departments to provide a smooth pre-op and post-op experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule all surgical, pre-op, and post-op appointments with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Verify insurance, obtain procedure authorizations, and coordinate health clearances.
• Act as the primary liaison between the physician, patient, and other departments.
• Ensure all pre-op studies are scheduled and equipment requests are fulfilled.
• Manage patient inquiries, handle service recovery, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date patient charts and collaborate with billing for charge processing.
• Support physicians with correspondence, authorizations, and calendar management.
• Communicate effectively with case managers and adjusters for worker’s comp cases.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in surgery or procedure scheduling.
• Preferred: Prior experience as a Patient Service Representative (PSR) or Medical Assistant (MA).
