Executive Assistant to CEO of the College Board. (Battery Park City)
College Board CEO seeks Executive Assistant to work closely with him and his team to manage the intricacies of his days and to represent him to internal and external stakeholders. This position is a blend of onsite and remote. Although the organization is a non-profit, the environment’s intensity and pace more closely resemble those in the private sector. The qualified applicant must not only have the requisite skills, but a deep and inherent desire to help others, in keeping with the place’s overall mission and the Principal’s personality. An earnest, polished and highly effective candidate is ideal. There is room for growth in this position and the organization itself is growing. A five year commitment is expected for the person hired, assuming the job is a good fit.
Requirements
· BA/BS from competitive US college
· Having taken at least one AP exam in high school
· Minimum 5 years’ Executive Assistant experience
· Excellent writing / editing
· Experience communicating with really important people
· Command of standard software programs: MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint, Google Workplace, project management tools.
· General facility with tech
· Demonstrated problem solving, logistics, and project management skills
· Executes tasks quickly and accurately
· Ability to understand subtle interpersonal cues and respond accordingly
Responsibilities
· Prepare daily itineraries outlining, in detail, what is anticipated on Principal’s schedule
· Keeping a detailed calendar for CEO and Chief of Staff and making adjustments as necessary
· Understanding priorities in order to make decisions about what changes are needed in calendar
· Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, ensure virtual meetings run smoothly
· Gatekeeping
· Representing the CEO to visitors and employees of the College Board with the right tone that conveys a sense of welcome and graciousness
· Working fluidly with the rest of the team that supports the CEO
· Collaborating with EAs across the larger organization on special projects and initiatives
· Travel planning
· Event planning such as gatherings at Principal’s home
· Personal assistance as needed
· Building relationships with certain people and groups to foster the College Board’s growth.
