Patient ratios are not applicable. The unit is staffed only with RNs and CV Techs. The type of equipment used includes GE and Philips labs. Documentation systems include MacLab and Meditech for EMRs. Scheduling requirements are 5 shifts of 8 hours from 07:00 to 15:30, plus on-call for the Cath Lab. The unit has a closed policy with no floating outside the department. There are no specific patient experience requirements. The following procedures are performed: various IR procedures, diagnostic cath, PCI, CTO cases, EP procedures, devices, LAAO cases, and complex ablation procedures. Responding to on-call needs for the Cath Lab must occur in less than 30 minutes.
