\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 36 or 48-hour contracts with guaranteed contracted hours per week
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Weekend coverage required as needed (Saturday and Sunday for day shifts; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shifts)
\n• 2 years of experience required; Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
\n• Travel experience strongly preferred, but candidates with 2+ years Level 1 experience may be considered
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
\n• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional; floating to Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma DOE is required based on staffing needs
\n• Handle 60%-80% of Emergency Department admissions with many ED rooms serving as "ED Holding"
\n• Medication administration including IV medications, documentation, and clinical communication
\n• Work with arterial lines, blood product administration, central line care, IV vasopressors, and ventilated patients
\n• Must be comfortable with trauma/resuscitation experience, gunshot wounds, neuro-trauma, and traumatic brain injuries
\n• Black scrubs required (not provided)
\n• Use Cerner charting system with bar code medication scanning
\n• 24-hour orientation period
\n• Facility may call off up to 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
\n• No locals within 75 miles accepted
\n• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission

\nThis is a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 554 staffed beds, featuring a comprehensive children's hospital component. The facility operates as a certified comprehensive stroke center with 53 emergency department rooms and 68 beds, handling 170-200 daily census with approximately 175 visits per day. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation services, maintaining high standards for acute care and trauma treatment.
