\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy in patient care. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and promotes a caring environment for patient-centered care.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
\n
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
\n
• Administer medications safely in accordance with organizational policies.
\n
• Utilize effective resource management, including staffing and time management.
\n
• Comply with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Participate in professional development and continuing education.
\n
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
\n
• Engage in Nursing Shared Governance initiatives.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience.
\n
• Current NYS RN License.
\n
• BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.
\n
• Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty and relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC).
\n
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
\n
