Travel CT Scan Technologist – Albany, NY
Start Date: 9/2/2025 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Friday – Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (3 twelve-hour shifts) On-Call: None requiredPosition Description:
The CT Scan Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in patient care at a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The technologist creates diagnostic CT images while providing patients with a safe and positive experience. Responsibilities include scanning emergency, trauma, inpatient, outpatient, and research patients, as well as performing specialized CT-guided procedures. The technologist ensures compliance with radiation safety protocols per NY State Department of Health regulations (Part 16) and supports teaching and continuous learning.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology program plus high school diploma (high school +1).
Licensure, Certification & Registration:
NY State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in NY
ARRT (CT) registration – verification required upon submission
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider/CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer
Experience:
Entry-level considered; MIT level assigned based on skills and experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Competence in CT procedures, trauma, emergency, and specialized imaging
Knowledge of radiation safety measures
Strong patient care and communication skills
