Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and budget constraints. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage project teams and client relationships.

Tasks

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:


  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Oversee all phases of project execution, from pre-construction to final completion.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Budget & Cost Control:


  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.

  • Track project expenses and analyze variances, providing regular reports to management.

  • Negotiate contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.

Safety & Quality Control:


  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and company safety policies.

  • Implement and maintain a robust quality control program to ensure project specifications are met.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety and quality.

Client & Stakeholder Management:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Management:


  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support.

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Documentation & Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and financial documentation.

  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management.

  • Ensure compliance with all project documentation requirements.

Problem Solving:


  • Proactively identify and address project challenges and obstacles.

  • Develop and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain project schedules.

Requirements

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or a related field. Will waive degree requirements with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, specifically in concrete paving or heavy civil construction.

  • Strong knowledge of concrete paving techniques, materials, and equipment.

  • Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • OSHA certifications are a plus.
