Job Title: Skilled General Laborer

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring immediately for a reputable contractor out of Rockland, ME! We are seeking dedicated general construction laborers with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our team. The general laborer will collaborate with a crew of 3 to 4 members, utilizing hand tools to assist in building docks, piers, and retaining walls. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to construct docks, piers, and retaining walls.
• Utilize hand tools effectively in various construction tasks.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to lift standard weights of 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Knowledge of hand tools and boats.
• Experience in general labor and construction tasks.
• Experience with concrete, hand tools, and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous construction laborer experience is preferred but not required.
• A learning mentality is essential for growth in this role.

Work Environment

Work takes place across Midcoast Maine, primarily on the water. The role involves outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions, requiring appropriate attire for safety and comfort.

This is a full-time (through the winter) position based out of Rockland, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
