Job Description

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Coordinator – Butler is to provide exceptional service to guests designated for Butler service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer the phones according to The Venetian standards. Use defined script to greet guests and determine how to be of assistance to the guest.
  • Take orders correctly, enter them into POS system and contacts butlers for appropriate service.
  • Keep departmental information relevant and accurate to ensure proper service is being executed.
  • Is able to respond to guest requests and answer questions about The Venetian Resort and Las Vegas. When unable to answer, takes the time to research answer and respond in an appropriate manner.
  • Conduct bookings of transportation requests utilizing ARTS.
  • Know, adheres to, and practices all aspects of department service standards.
  • Record all pertinent data into guest profile as needed.
  • Assist with the recording of laundry, dry cleaning, pressing and shoe polishing services when performed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all guest needs are fulfilled.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines when handling and lifting equipment.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in an appropriate non-hazardous manner avoiding self-injury and unsafe work methods.
  • Source items as assigned include, but are not limited to tickets, shopping, food products, deliveries, and packages.
  • Assist in fulfilling guests’ requests as long as they are safe, legal, and economically sound.
  • Clean and maintain work areas to The Venetian Resort standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 2 years of service experience in a luxury hotel, casino, restaurant, or related hospitality area.
  • Experience with point-of-sale equipment and/or computers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to speak additional language is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
