Job Description
Description Summary/Objective The Order Picker is responsible for reading customer orders, accurately pulling products to be loaded onto trucks.
Responsibilities - Operates stand-up battery powered forklift, walk-along type forklift and storage/retrieval machine (crane).
- Takes inventory.
- Accurately pulls all orders.
- Keeps area neat and clean. Puts incoming purchased products away and may re-stock.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks and assist others as needed.
- Responsible for food safety as well as end product quality as presented during GMP training, HACCP training, SQF training, FSMA training and Chemical/Sanitation training.
- Be alert to suspicious activities as per the 1st ALERT training video.
- Responsible for refrigerator records as assigned.
Hours - Sunday - Thursday, 8 hour days, 40 hour work week.
Essential Functions - Talk, hear, read, write, and comprehend English.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours / days to support business hours and needs.

- Physical Demands

- Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. and/or drag up to 200lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate cooler temperatures (37 degrees in coolers).
- Work indoors/outdoors for all seasons.
- Must be able to walk up a flight of stairs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position; hours of work vary based on corresponding shift. Weekends and holidays based on business demands.
Preferred Education and Experience - No specific experience/education required; GED preferred
- Ability to work safely around power equipment and at elevated heights (if in crane).
- Ability to pass certification on forklift.
