Job Description

• The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. This role supports cross-functional teams by creating interactive dashboards and reports, optimizing data models, and ensuring data accuracy and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data visualization best practices, and experience working with various data sources.

Responsibilities: 

• Connect and transform data from various sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations tailored to business needs. 
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all BI Solutions. 
• Document data models, report logic, and support procedures. 
• Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports and datasets.

Must Haves: 

• Excellent communication and collaborative skills. 
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query. 
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding data modeling and ETL processes.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

 

Education and Experience: 

 

• Minimum of 2-year experience in Power BI Development, data analysis, or related field. 
• Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.

 

Physical Demands: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting working with a computer at a desk.
