The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all warehouse concerning activities. This includes managing staff, coordinating logistical processes, improving efficiency, and overseeing inventory control. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for enforcing safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the receipt and storage of goods, ensuring all goods are stored properly in an organized and efficient manner.
  2. Coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods, ensuring that goods are sent out on time and to the correct locations.
  3. Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure effective performance and delivery of services.
  4. Maintain and organize warehouse inventory to ensure ease of locating goods and efficiency of the warehouse.
  5. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff performance.
  6. Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to and enforced, including the proper use of equipment.
  7. Work closely with other departments such as procurement and sales to forecast future demand.
  8. Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  9. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to automate processes and increase efficiency.
  10. Prepare and present reports on warehouse operations and efficiency to company leadership.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a warehouse manager or similar role.
  2. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  3. Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  4. Ability to implement processes to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Strong leadership and management skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and databases.
  8. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehousing environment.
  9. A problem-solving mindset with good decision-making abilities.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
