Job Summary
Supports current initiatives to maximize our capacity. This will allow for more timely transitions of care from our Emergency Department and procedural areas. Work closely with the Emergency Department, inpatient units, Patient Placement, Administrators on Duty, and Environmental Services. Hardwire standardized processes and monitor transitions of care.Essential Functions

Standardizes processes to ensure patients are admitted to the appropriate unit with the appropriate orders.
Hardwires standardized processes for inpatient transfers and patient discharges.
Evaluates bed turnaround times and develops action items to address opportunities.
Supports efforts to improve patient throughput and ensure safe, timely care transitions for our patients.
Strengthens utilization of current systems to support patient throughput.
Collaborates with the Emergency Department, inpatient units, Administrators on Duty, and Environmental Services to improve care transitions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program and approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Licensed to work as a RN in the state of South Carolina.
