Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of a large-scale Data Center construction program. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced construction professional to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and of the highest quality. There will be some travel to the project sites, when required.
Duties
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with project team members, including project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and construction schedules.
- Utilize construction management software to track project expenses, manage project risks, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the construction estimating team to develop accurate project estimates and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
- Support project coordination, including ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management, quality control, and communication strategies.
- Manage and resolve project conflicts and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience in project controls, with a focus on construction management.
- Experience in reviewing construction drawings and specifications.
- In depth knowledge of Primavera P6 to include critical path analysis, WBS development, cost and resource loading, and delay analysis.
- Excellent project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of project managers.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- A Project Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification is preferred.
