Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in the scenic mountain town of Breckenridge, CO, this contract opportunity offers surgical technologists a chance to support high-quality surgical care while enjoying the beauty of the Colorado Rockies. This role involves assisting during surgical procedures by maintaining sterile fields and providing essential instrumentation to the surgical team under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, integrating knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures in line with AORN standards.
• Inspect and maintain surgical instruments and supplies ensuring packaging and sterilization integrity.
• Monitor and maintain the sterile field, initiating corrective action when necessary.
• Contribute flexibility and consistency in delivering individualized patient care within defined scopes.
• Communicate effectively during perioperative processes including briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in patient transport, room preparation, and equipment turnover.
• Maintain professional conduct and stay current with advancements in surgical technology and instrumentation.
• Perform instrument cleaning and preparation for terminal sterilization.
• Uphold principles of a just culture, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent education.
• Licensing as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Competency in computer skills to complete online training and documentation.
• Proficient in English communication.

Work Schedule & Details:

• Contract length: approximately 13 weeks
• Rotating shifts with a 3x12-hour schedule
• Call requirements included
• Guaranteed minimum hours provided
